I’ve finally tidied up the radio setup in the car, and I’m very happy with the results.  This now includes:

2 * Yaesu FTM-100D in a custom dashboard enclosure.

1 * FT-450D in a DIN mount alongside the stereo.  (main unit in the rear of the car)

1 * UHF Chook Band for tagging along with the 4WD club.  It;’s only taken me ~3 years to work out what I wanted :/

Petition for new band, 4m / 70 MHz

Hi,
I am trying to get access to a new band, for Australian Amateurs.  Originally a UK band, much of Europe, plus parts of Africa and the Middle East now have it.  It will allow experimentation, including with Trans-Equatorial Propagation, as well as being handy during emergencies.
