Sunday March 10th, 2019
10:00am – 4:00pm local time
Waverley Amateur Radio Society is proud to bring you the annual Sydney Amateur Radio Ferry Contest which aims to bring amateurs together for a fun day on our world-famous harbour aboard its historic ferry service.
Make a note of the date
Sunday March 10th 2019 10:00 am – 4:00 pm local time (6 hours).
Operation is restricted to VHF and UHF bands, any mode, simplex or through repeater using hand-held transceivers.
The scoring system encourages operators to visit as many wharves and travel on as many ferries as possible in a six-hour period. Points are claimed per location/contact rather than distance and with no advantage for high power or digital modes, all classes of licensees including Foundation, can compete equally.
There are a number of awards for achieving goals such as Worked All Ferries, as well as scoring the highest number of points.
Here is a downloadable Ferry contest log.
Download and print out this pdf to easily record contacts on the day.
Further details will be published here closer to the time of the contest.
