Sunday March 12th 2017  10:00 am – 4:00 pm local time (6 hours).

Ferry-buoy-logoThe object is to make as many contacts as possible from ferries or wharves. An Opal card will permit the entire day’s travel on any mode of public transport for only $2.50.

Operation is restricted to VHF and UHF bands, any mode, simplex or through repeater using hand-held transceivers.

The scoring system will encourage operators to visit as many wharves and travel on as many ferries as possible in a six-hour period. As points will be claimed per location/contact rather than distance and with no advantage for high power or digital modes, all classes of licensees including Foundation, can compete equally.

There will be a number of awards for achieving  goals such as Worked All Ferries, as well as for the highest number of points.

Further details will be published via the website closer to the time of the contest.
